Have you got anything new coming up? Oh yes well the biggest audience at the moment is over here. If you mention the BBC anywhere in the world they know what it is. People knock off the BBC all the time over here for the silliest of reasons and try to bring about its downfall. But everybody knows who the BBC is. I love the show and anybody who knows me knows I love it.

The character first appears in the Doctor Who episode " The Empty Child " and subsequently features in the remaining episodes of the first series as a companion to the series' protagonist, The Doctor. Subsequent to this, Jack became the central character in the adult-themed Torchwood , which aired from to Barrowman also reprised the role for guest appearances in Doctor Who in its third series and fourth series , as well as the two-part special The End of Time. In contrast to The Doctor, Jack is more of a conventional action hero , as well as outwardly flirtatious and capable of acts which The Doctor would view as less than noble. John Barrowman: 'Kissing Doctor Who didn’t even make the headlines'
It's BBC Three's biggest hit this year, which isn't saying much because the experimental all-HD channel has been sort of a dead zone. Helmed by new Doctor Who creator Russell T. Davies known for creating Queer as Folk , Torchwood has been billed as a Doctor Who for grownups because all the main characters are bisexual and there's a lot of girl-on-girl and boy-on-boy snogging. At many points in this season, the snogging as lame as it was has been what kept me downloading watching week after week. Let us count our dubious blessings, shall we?
John Barrowman has confirmed that Captain Jack will remain bisexual in the new season of Torchwood. Torchwood: Miracle Day is being co-produced by the BBC and American network Starz and some fans had been concerned that Jack's sexuality would be ignored in the episodes. However, Barrowman told Entertainment Weekly that viewers do not have to worry.
