We are a traditional Craven farmstead run by 3 generations of the Coates family. It is these formations which give the local area its character and also builds character if you want to farm on them. Pot Haw Farm historically operated a dairy herd, processing and bottling its own milk until Whilst also producing high quality hay and haylage for the equine market. Cravenbale is unique amongst specialist forage producers, we have retained and nurtured many of our traditional old fashioned hay meadows. Although less productive than many modern grasses, they have character and charm containing a fine blend of species rich herbs and traditional grasses.

The bridleway network has seen significant additions over the last few years, and concessionary bridleways such as the former Scarborough to Whitby railway the 'Cinder Track' are now included. The beautiful beaches at Saltburn and Sandsend are also open to horse riders. A four day, 55 mile circular route devised by the British Horse Society, leading you through spectacular scenery and dramatic views in the central and western areas of the National Park.
