It's been over two decades since Sex and the City first aired on our screens. In many ways it was ground-breaking — funny, clever and emotionally honest with a frank and warm look at female friendship, sex and single life. But as time has gone on, it's no longer the easy watching it once was. Sex And The City 2

'Sex and the City' Cast Then vs. Now - SATC Cast Transformations
Yes, the clothes are more fabulous than ever, but Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte have misplaced their chic and sassy and become, gulp, too ordinary and desperate. When the girls first went big screen in , the film could be forgiven for being such a dreary dud because it was so good to have the gold-plated four pack back. Couch Potato, her gay friends and her girlfriends, which is not nearly as sexy as the Manhattan singles scene. Or, as Samantha might say, being married in the Big Apple bites. Everything about their lives has become so tame it takes a trip to Abu Dhabi — where canoodling in public is a crime — for any of them to seem outrageous at all.

Long-standing animosity between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall has so far made it impossible for the project to take off, despite multiple attempts to start production. In , news broke out that the third film has been scrapped completely, much to the dismay of fans across the globe.
