Parents, social critics, and many young girls themselves deplore it, but sex sells, so advertisers and entertainers use it to attract audiences. They use it without the regulation or social pressures that once were restraining forces. And they use it without censorship, which hardly anyone favors. The videos were good for getting off, he said, but also sources for ideas for future sex positions with future girlfriends. From porn, he learned that guys need to be buff and dominant in bed, doing things like flipping girls over on their stomach during sex.

The impact of porn on men has been studied, but little is known about how it could affect women. Between the ages of 11 and 16, Neelam watched porn most days. She quickly got over that initial shock.
As a child, Samantha Owens would dream of being a vet to 'fix broken animals' while brushing her My Little Pony's rainbow mane. But her childhood dreams were shattered when aged just 13, she was pushed into prostitution - and dumped in strange houses with predatory paedophiles - by her 'best friend' Amanda Spencer. For three years, she was systematically raped, often multiple times a day, by much older men at 'parties' in Sheffield. Amanda plied her with alcohol and drugs while keeping the money paedophiles paid to abuse Samantha.
