How to get a married woman to cheat

If you ask someone the worst thing their partner could do to them, most of them would probably say "cheating. Finding out your spouse has been unfaithful is heartbreaking, devastating, and can ruin someone's self-esteem. When Alicia Walker, a sociologist and researcher at Missouri State University set out to look into why women cheat on their husbands, she expected to find results in tune with what people often assume about them. For example, people tend to talk about how infidelity happens when women want to seek out emotional support, or they fall in love with someone else.

Most married folks like to pretend extramarital affairs just don't happen — or at least not in their houses. But the sad truth is affairs do happen. They're a lot more common than you might think, and women are almost just as likely to step out on their relationship as their male counterparts. I spoke with several experts to find out, and while some reasons may be just what you expected, others might really give you pause. Some may view emotional cheating as harmless companionship, but professional relationship consultant Chris Seiter says it's just asking for trouble. Seiter went on to to explain that emotional cheating may mean different things to different people, but it all boils down to the same motivation: "If you have an emotional need that you need to get met by your partner and you instead go to someone else to get that need met, then that would be considered emotional cheating.

There are many reasons why married people cheat. Frustration in the marriage is one common trigger; the cheater may make several attempts to solve problems to no avail. Maybe they had second thoughts about getting married or they were jealous over the attention given to a new baby and neither had the skill set to communicate these feelings. Perhaps the straying spouse has childhood baggage — neglect, abuse, or a parent who cheated — that interferes with his or her ability to maintain a committed relationship.

Loneliness plays a role. So do boredom and alcohol. Maybe a close relationship with a colleague goes too far during a long night at the office.
