Lymph nodes are small, bean-shaped glands throughout the body. They are part of the lymph system , which carries fluid lymph fluid , nutrients, and waste material between the body tissues and the bloodstream. The lymph system is an important part of the immune system , the body's defence system against disease. The lymph nodes filter lymph fluid as it flows through them, trapping bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances, which are then destroyed by special white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymph nodes may be found singly or in groups.
I have health anxiety and I worry about any lump and bump. About 2 weeks ago I was doing my makeup and noticed a lump under my neck on the left side, I felt it and realised it was a swollen lymph node that is not painful and is moveable. I can easily recognise swollen lymph nodes as someone who used to get frequent throat infections such as tonsillitis I had them a lot. I initially thought I must be getting ill so checked my throat. As I looked in my throat my left tonsil was a lot bigger than my right, and had a red vein running through it.

Oh how I remember the joy of swollen glands. I would wake up in the morning, and straightaway could feel that familiar tenderness on both sides just below my jawline. Prodding my neck, there they were - tender little pea-sized lumps.
Excuse, that I can not participate now in discussion - it is very occupied. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
